"There are two ways to look at the world: wonder at nothing and accept reality as it appears to be or seek forces that animate it making one's surroundings a pretext to pose questions - as we did in our childhood. The latter approach is closer to the works of Dobrochna Wojda, who finds through her photographs items and events that make it possible to go beyond the common experience of everyday life and find something intriguing in seemingly obvious situations. Constant rationalization and objectification of reality can often be helpful, but on the whole it doesn't make our lives easier or the least bit more interesting - it does, however, disenchant. Through her works, Dobrochna Wojda attempts to capture phenomena of elusive charm. She finds them in subjective relationships between objects as well as the objects themselves and their surroundings."
